Tom E. Lewis

Tom E. Lewis was born in 1958 at Ngukurr at the Roper River, Arnhem Land. Tom is a Murrungun man.  He is an actor and played many parts in films but in 1978 his first major role was in the title role of the film The Chant of Jimmie Blacksmith. Tom is also a musician and can play many instruments and is Katherine’s greatest treasure. The films he has played in are as listed:

Cadel Lee Evens

Cadel Lee Evens was born on the 14th of February 1977 in Katherine Northern Territory. Evens is a professional racing cyclist and was Australia’s first Tour de France winner.

Teresa Harris, country singer, won two song writing competitions (one Australia wide), and a busking competition.

Leisel Marie Jones

Leisel Marie Jones, OAM born the 30th August 1985 Katherine Northern Territory.  Leisel is a Australian Olympic Gold Medalist swimmer. Leisel won gold at the 2008 Beijing Olympics in 100 breaststroke. Her time of 1:05.17 was 1.66 s.
